Crystal Lake Chiropractors Frequently Asked Questions
Like other chiropractors in Crystal Lake IL, we hear many questions from new and experienced chiropractic patients. Some of the most common questions and answers are below...

Do you accept insurance?
Yes we do. We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Cigna, as well as Aetna. We will file and bill your insurance for you, and your coverage will be verified on your first visit and explained in detail on your second visit.
We also offer many cash-based plans for those without coverage, utilizing the incredible benefits of our ChiroHealth Program that offers discounts and savings from our traditional cash plans. Please see the following link for more information on this great program: (Provide link)
No matter what the situation, we always work hard to make the care affordable for our patients, getting them what they need at all times. We have an amazing staff who helps with this each step of the way.
Why do kids need to see a chiropractor?
There is actually a variety of reasons for a child to see a chiropractor. In fact, the #1 reason children see a chiropractor is for wellness. Many parents nowadays are choosing to be proactive with their children’s health, rather than reactive. This fits perfectly with chiropractic, which is wellness-based and thus proactive and preventative. Many of our parents bring their newborn infants to our office on the way home from the hospital, before even going to the pediatrician.
Other common reasons for children to see a chiropractor include difficulty nursing, colic, and ear/sinus infections, which are all conditions often caused by problems with the upper neck that likely were caused by birth trauma such as C-section or forceps delivery. Parents also bring their kids to a chiropractor for care of colds and flu-like issues.
Our office specializes in the care of children with Neuro-Developmental Disorders such as autism, ADD/ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and learning disabilities. Since chiropractic seeks to restore balance and proper function to the nervous system, chiropractic for these kids often has life-altering changes!
Do you provide physical therapy in your office?
Yes we do. All chiropractors are trained extensively in the areas of physical therapy and rehabilitation and our office goes even beyond that with our Functional Movement Program.
All patients are put through a Functional Movement Assessment which measures their abilities in 5 main areas: Posture, Balance/Coordination, Strength, Flexibility, and Fine Motor Skills. Their therapy and rehab programs are then customized to their individual needs based upon their individual weaknesses and functional limitations. Therefore we are able to provide comprehensive care for patients with all sorts of challenges, musculoskeletal and neurological.
We also are the only office in the area to offer neurosensory-based therapy in conjunction with chiropractic care and nutrition, creating an “all under one roof” environment of care for many children suffering from Neuro-Develomental Disorders such as autism, hyperactivity, sensory processing disorder, and more.
This program again has a detailed initial assessment based upon the same 5 areas, but is expanded to include neurological function tests such as fine and gross motor testing, primitive reflexes, and more. Our doctors and staff are specifically trained to work with these kids and their challenges, and the movement-based therapy in conjunction with chiropractic care really enhances our results.
