PWC Chiropractic Team
Friendliest staff ever! Everyone knows my name after only a couple appointments. All the doctors in the practice are interested in my well-being and how my treatment is going even though I’m only seeing one doctor for my adjustments.
Kristina Ebel – Business Manager
I grew up in Crystal Lake so this community has always felt like home to me. After Tony’s graduation from Palmer Chiropractic School we knew it was the perfect place to start the roots to our own family. After the birth of our first daughter, Addison, and experiencing that kind of unconditional love for the first time, we knew we were committed to giving every family the right to live life full of health. I am always amazed at how vibrant, resilient, and healthy chiropractic kids are and I strongly believe every parent deserves that.
I have had quite a few times where God has reminded me of just how powerful a specific, gentle, and effective adjustment can be. Throughout my pregnancies, I was very committed to getting adjusted, staying active, and eating well in preparation for a natural birth. I have always been a chiropractic patient, but witnessed the true power of the adjustment when my husband/on call chiropractor helped speed up my nearly halted contractions with a gentle adjustment during labor, helping ensure the safe delivery of our beautiful baby girl.
My son Oliver’s chiropractic miracle began on the day of his birth. Emergency medical care saved his life, but chiropractic GAVE him life. His diagnosis after PPHN and a long struggle at the start of life was grim and full of seizures, medication, and the exact opposite life we were designed to live. During his rough start to life, I didn’t fully support my husband and his constant hands on him and doing the work his hands know best. I didn’t think this was a situation that needed chiropractic and that it couldn’t possibly do what Tony believed. I would never wish those 6 weeks on anyone but am grateful I experienced it because I know my purpose and passion is now to share my story with every mom and family that could benefit like my sweet little baby.
The end of my third pregnancy with Alaina was only possible with adjustments as sciatic pain was caused by a 9 pound baby girl! And now she is the epitome of happy and vibrant and is first in line for “justments” at the office. My fourth baby, Emilia, came into the family fast and furious and full of smiles. I was able to have an empowering, natural birth with all four due to chiropractic care throughout my pregnancies.
Many people tell us we’re lucky to have such healthy kids, but we know it has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with living our lives free from interference! 4 kids, zero ear infections, zero rounds of antibiotics, zero rounds of anything unnatural into their bodies and it’s not luck. It was a choice we made early on to make chiropractic a priority in our lives. We love meeting families in the office and hearing their own versions of miracles in their families thanks to PWC and being a part of that is so special to us. PWC Chiropractic is a dream we have worked hard to see come true. Living this dream as a family will always be number one for us!
Jacqui Jakubowicz – Front Desk Coordinator
I was born in Upstate New York but grew up primarily in Colorado. We played outside, rode bikes everywhere and lived a very natural lifestyle. I visited family here in Illinois during the summers as a teenager and met my now husband right after I moved here. Shortly after that I was injured a car accident and being holistic minded I pursued treatment from a Chiropractor instead of the steroids and pain medication that Western Medicine prescribed. I had excellent results from the care I received from them.
Fast forward to life as a wife and busy mom to 3 incredible boys I first came across our office as a result of our own little “Perfect Storm kiddo” Logan. My son was suffering from a significant Developmental Delay, speech deficits and Sensory Processing issues. We had many components of his recovery plan in place already… IEP at school, dietary changes, Speech and Occupational Therapy but despite all that we knew something was missing. We attended the Perfect Storm event and instantly knew we were in the right place. As a result of care at our office my son has recovered to a degree that I never could have dreamt possible before. Once we saw how Logan responded to his adjustments our whole family came under care. We have been forever changed.
I began working at our office in May of 2016. I jumped at the opportunity to serve our community in this mission! I believe wholeheartedly in what we do, who we are and the incredible gift that we have in Chiropractic to help the body heal itself. Each time I see a patient become happy and relaxed in their own body as a result of being adjusted, I become even more on fire for what we do!
Michelle Fontana – Front Desk
Michelle was born and raised in the northwest suburb of Palatine, IL. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education in Family and Consumer Sciences. Michelle is a local middle school cooking and sewing teacher. She loves to teach such practical life skills that students can implement into their lives right away, along with the opportunity to teach the youth the importance of a healthy and well-balanced diet.
Michelle grew up knowing the value of a chiropractic lifestyle and what a key role it plays for the body. She was a chiro-baby, kid, and now an adult who regularly has her whole family adjusted. Michelle’s sister saw the power of chiropractic first-hand, and from a young teenager she knew being a chiropractor was her calling. Having a chiropractor in Michelle’s’ family is a blessing and instills the passion they hold in knowing the power the body has to heal itself through a natural and innate approach. Michelle couldn’t love chiropractic more and loves sharing her passion and knowledge with all she can!
Michelle has twin boys, who started seeing the PWC team in 2014. In a short time, the PWC team enhanced their lives through pediatric chiropractic adjustments and educating her family on approaches to enhance their young, growing bodies with. Michelle loves being a part of the PWC team, where she connects with other families on the benefits of chiropractic. Her passion grows each time she sees children break through their shell and their personalities shine through, when babies’ pain from colic truly disappears, when mom’s are brought to tears by their children’s results and new absence of ear infections, headaches and constipation, and the overall transformation a family has into a new lifestyle without interference.
Michelle loves running, cooking, essential oils, smoothies, Disney, Michigan wine-trails, Pinterest, and most importantly…seeing the world through her young boys’ eyes.
Julie Furman – Front Desk
Julie was born and raised in Michigan and went to college at Indiana Wesleyan University for Photography. During a family move to a south side suburb of Chicago she decided to change her path and pursue a Cosmetology license and had been doing that for 7 ½ years until she met her hubby, Adam, and moved to Lake in the Hills to be with him!
In looking for a new job, she knew she wanted to be in a field which helps people and changes lives. She remembered at an early age of 12 getting her first migraine, and for 10 years suffered through them. She finally took a friends’ advice and sought out chiropractic care and acupuncture which changed her life and completely got rid of her migraines. This led her to look in the field of chiropractic care.
She was privileged to be hired at Premier Wellness and is blessed to work with such caring and compassionate doctors!

I was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Huntley my sophomore year of high school. My husband and I have been married for a bit over two years and have three kids. We have a 16 year old daughter, Krista, a two year old son, Easton, and a new little guy Grayson who just turned 6 months. My husband and I enjoy spending as much family time as possible and try to make that time as active as we can while always trying to enjoy the outdoors and simple things in life.
I became a dedicated patient at PWC in 2012 due to an injury and the team followed me through a growing family and helped me maintain my healthy body through two pregnancies that ensured for my successful V-bacs with both of my boys and kept me comfortable to full term with amazing and healthy babies. I have a well adjusted family and we use the power of chiropractic to keep our nervous systems happy!
I started working at Premier Wellness in Oct of 2014 and love being a part of a team that teaches and enables families to live their lives well adjusted and full of energy, happiness, and health!
Miguel Merida – Front Desk
Miguel and his family started receiving care by coming to PWC for their daughter Kaidence. Kaidence has a severe case of Lissencephaly, in which they turned to chiropractor care to try to reduce the amount of medicine that conventional medical care prescribed. Since being cared for by PWC Kaidence has been able to reduce the amount of seizure medicine she takes on a daily basis and has had a huge reduction in her seizures/spasms episodes. She has also had the benefits of greatly reducing things that are very dangerous for her condition like colds and pneumonia.
After seeing his daughters quality of life increase and the need for conventional medical intervention decrease he became 100% believer in Chiropractic care. Miguel and his whole family are receiving care including his 4 month old twin boys. Miguel is excited to begin his journey with PWC and increase his knowledge of chiropractic care and help other families see the benefits. Miguel and his wife needless to say are in love with everyone at PWC and feel it is a huge blessing to be part of this amazing family!

I was born in McHenry, IL and grew up in Cary. I currently have my CNA license and cosmetology license. I have been married to my amazing husband Kevin for 8 years and we have two kids, James who is 3 and Shae who is 1.
I started coming to PWC when I was pregnant with Shae and fell in love with the staff and being adjusted immediately. I had a c section with my son due to him being in a breech position and I was extremely unhappy with the delivery I had with him. My goal was to have a VBAC with my daughter. I also was under a lot of stress during my pregnancy with her and was in the hospital numerous times. After going to PWC during my pregnancy I was able to have a successful VBAC and my body felt amazing and a lot more calm after I started getting adjusted.
When I was a patient I was told by the doctors that they could also help my son, who has apraxia, dyspraxia, sensory issues, horrible allergies and eczema. Since James has started going to PWC we have seen amazing changes in him. He is off almost all of his medicines, his speech is booming and he seems a million times more comfortable in his own skin.
I am so excited to become part of this amazing team at PWC!
Emily Thrasher – Billing Coordinator
I was born in Dayton, OH but moved to Cary, IL as a teenager. I attended Northeastern Illinois University and received my Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies and Sociology. Though my dream has always been to work in the social work field, I decided to stay at a job in the insurance industry to be closer to home, so that I could be more available to my kids and husband. I have two children, 13 and 6 who are crazy involved in sports and extracurricular activities.
My first experience with chiropractic happened just this past year with PWC. I have always suffered from migraines and anxiety, but we were also having trouble conceiving our third child. It was suggested by a friend to check out PWC because they had previous success with infertility cases. After regular adjustments in combination with making some major diet and exercise changes recommended by the docs at PWC we are currently expecting baby number 3 and it just so happens that I also noticed great improvements with both my migraines and my anxiety too!
I am excited to be a part of such an amazing team and great group of people. I look forward to learning everything I can from this opportunity.
